We are pleased to provide you with the latest construction update on The Lyceum, our project located in Eccles, Manchester. Progress continues steadily, with significant stages in the building schedule now finished.
Groundworks are 95% complete, with steel frame connections well underway. This phase establishes the foundation for the entire project, ensuring stability and structural integrity.
The steel frame has continued to grow rapidly, with large areas now protruding beyond the existing façade. The first phase of this section is now complete, and work on the second phase is progressing well.
Construction of the concrete frame has been another success story, reaching the first-floor level. This adds strength and stability to the building, facilitating further vertical expansion.
Façade repair works on the existing structure have begun, aiming to enhance both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity, preserving the building’s heritage while embracing modernity. This work is an essential part of compliance with English Heritage, given the Grade II significance of the existing structure.
Everyone here at IPG is extremely pleased with the work completed in March, with each section of the building taking shape in line with the development’s planning. We remain dedicated to delivering quality at every stage of the construction process and look forward to providing the next update at the beginning of May.
