Adam Ross here from IPG, and it is with great pleasure that I bring you the latest update from our amazing PBSA project, Deakin’s Yard.
We’re thrilled to report that phase one façade works are continuing at pace, with the team moving closer to completion. The exterior of the building is taking shape, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that define Deakin’s Yard.
Internally, progress is equally impressive. The fitout is making great strides, with stud partitioning, drylining and internal door sets now completing across the site. Additionally, the intumescent painting is now 90% complete, creating a clear space for the remainder of internal works to be finalized.
Firestopping and sprinkler updates are also progressing well, in line with the planning requirements, ensuring the safety and compliance of the building. In addition to protecting human lives, firestopping helps safeguard property and assets within a building. By containing fire to its area of origin, firestopping reduces the risk of extensive damage to the building and its contents, minimizing financial losses for property owners and insurers.
Furthermore, almost 20% of the kitchens have been installed, providing a clear representation of how the finished building will present. These installations are a testament to the meticulous planning and execution that characterize the development of Deakin’s Yard.
With each milestone achieved, we move closer to realizing our vision of creating a premier destination for student living. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make remarkable progress at Deakin’s Yard. With the September student intake just around the corner, the whole team here at IPG is working flat out to deliver a market-leading development to all our investors.
