Welcome all to our Cavendish Waters update for March 2023.
With full planning approved by Liverpool City Council, we await the legal teams to draw up the formal Section 106 agreement before commencing any site works. We have however, pushed on with the site’s clearance and grading of the existing footprint in preparation of commencement of the ground investigation.
As with all our projects, we like to enlist the expertise of tried and trusted supply chain partners who have successfully delivered similar schemes with us historically.
Again, we will be enlisting the services of Snow Architects (Architectural Design), N.J. O’Gorman & Associates (Structural Engineer) & Earth Environmental Ltd (Ground Investigation).
The ground investigation report will give us vital information on sub terrain formation - and identify any remediations which may be required should contaminants be identified to discharge the relative planning condition. This will also facilitate our structural engineer to compile foundation details.
Due to the site’s close proximity to the Leeds Liverpool canal, we anticipate piling will be required adjacent to the canal, so as not to breach the canal wall.
We have opened dialogue with the Canal and River Trust to ensure compatibility of design, along with establishing the parameters in which we can operate. Their regional engineer will work closely with our structural consultants to come up with the best solution.
We are also working on a method to ensure there is no contamination of the watercourse throughout the construction phase.
All this hard work behind the scenes will pay dividends as works progress, and will prove vital to the successful delivery of the scheme.
Exciting times lay ahead for the Integritas team, who as always offer a big thank you to all our current and future stakeholders.
