Works on and off site are progressing well at Bastion Point.
We have submitted all relevant information to discharge pre-commencement planning consent, and have also received formal validation acknowledgement from Liverpool City Council that they have been successfully transferred to the planning portal.
We have further received the foundation report garnered from our trial pits dug on-site outlined in our previous update. Our commercial team have sent this information out to several piling specialists with a view to gaining the most suitable and cost-effective solution to enable works to progress.
We have undertaken a GPRS survey to ascertain whether any live services remain on site. This will also feedback invaluable information on existing drainage locations and invert levels to allow our structural engineers to finalise drainage connection points and associated design.
The archaeological trench investigation work is being carried out week commencing 27/06/22 by a team of experts, which is expected to take two weeks to complete. They will then produce a report which will be presented to Merseyside Environmental Advisory Service with a view to discharge this condition.
Whilst this is being carried out, we have our in-house team on site making the street appeal more attractive by painting external fencing prior to our corporate branding being installed around the site perimeter.
We are in final negotiations with our chosen contractor and warranty providers who will provide the 10-year structural guarantee, which gives peace of mind to mortgage providers and all other parties involved.
We are on schedule to commence piling and drainage works in July, which will be followed by the formation of the building’s superstructure. This will be a significant moment as we see months of planning turn into a three-dimensional form.
