As the year approaches its close, momentum on site is being maintained despite what the weather can throw at us!
The site team are working through the process of forming pile caps, which requires the installation of steel cages, the forming of wooden shuttering and finally the pouring of the concrete bases.
There are over 20 of these to form, which sit on top of the driven piles described in our previous updates. These bases also contain starter bars for the concrete columns, which are the first signs that we are progressing out of the ground!
These columns are strategically placed so that the weight of building is transferred directly down from columns. This process then enables the formation of a solidly engineered footing for the building.
Throughout this formation period, works have been regularly inspected and approved by both our 10 year structural warranty provider Advantage, and our chosen building control inspector, Assent.
Very early in the New Year we will reach a significant milestone, as the concrete frame will start to rise from the ground up to first floor level, from which point the car parking area will be formed. The SFS steel frame will carry on from this point, which forms the carcass of the structure itself.
We are extremely excited to see above ground works commencing, and the progress onsite is now very clear to see. We take real pride in reaching this stage of the project, as we start to see the true form of the building come into sight.
Finally, the whole team at Integritas would like to wish all our valued and prospective investors a very Happy Christmas, and an even more prosperous New Year.
Here’s to 2023, and the completion of Bastion Point.
