Hello and welcome to all our existing and new stakeholders. Works at Bastion Point are progressing well, with the concrete ground slabs now poured. Our formwork contractor is now forming all stub columns which will form the main structure of carpark. They are also completing works to form sheer walls to the structural engineer’s design.
This is expected to take three to four weeks, which will then enable the first-floor concrete slab to be formed. Once done, this will then signal the completion of the ground and first floor car park.
Offsite the steel formed section (SFS) is being fabricated ready to erect on site in kit form. This not only speeds up the construction process, but eliminates waste whilst maximising storage space on site.
The self-erecting crane is due on site on Monday 10th of April, which will form a significant milestone on this amazing project. To facilitate this, we have been actively negotiating with the adjacent landowner, predominantly for permission to house the crane in our ideal location.
This also introduces associated issues such as checking the suitability of the sub base to site the crane, whilst also providing an adequate temporary electrical supply.
Our legal representative has also been in negotiation with all aspects relating to oversailing rights for the crane to operate at maximum efficiency.
With the SFS frame due to hit site in May, it gives us the perfect opportunity to push on with all structural elements of the frame throughout the summer months, giving us the ideal window to continue uninterrupted throughout this period to get the building watertight at the earliest opportunity.
Exciting times indeed. Watch this space for our May update when you will see the frame rising from the ground at pace.
A huge thank you once again from the Integritas team for your continued support.
